Genuine question for Labour voters on here. Given the huge poll lead, one that has remained pretty stable around the 20 pt mark fir months, and the fact the general consensus amongst you all is that this government has been a disaster, would you view a hung parliament, like some are forecasting after the local elections, as a poor, even bad night?

For what it's worth the suggestions of why Sunak's called an early election in my initial response were from seasoned commentators in the mainstream media.

I do find this all rather bizarre.

It really does appear that every lie is being told as a truth, and every truth being told as a lie. Like, Israel is the interloper and the oppressors of Palestinians, and the Palestinians are the victims. Now, let's be rate; the reverse is the actual truth. The Jews are the only people who have an historic and legal right to be on that land, and have been attacked for their existence on that land for decades.

What is obvious is, the coming together of the anti Israel left and the anti Israel and anti Jew, Islamic world (most of)... clearly demonstrated by the ecstasy and celebratory response on 7/10 at the murder and capture of so many Israelis. The actual ratio is one civilian for every one combatant. A sensationally low number of civilians killed (not that any death is welcome, but this is a war). No other country in the world has ever achieved that small number of civilian deaths in any military activity, ever. And, this is what gets me. You lot are so quick to jump on board (some folk on here would label you antisemitic, racist scum) the so-called wanten and disproportionate killing of vast numbers of civilians in Gaza... whilst the truth is, the very opposite is actually happening. And folk are constantly calling it genocide...do people actually understand the definition of genocide?

Hezbollah, in Lebanon, are bombarding the north of Israel with rockets and mortars. Egypt strengthen their border with Palestine even more (Muslim togetherness only goes so far, it seems). Hamas fire on numerous humanitarian aid corridors and crossings....All in the name of resistance.
