Saturday can only be described as very flat we never got on top of southend and we allowed them to get in our heads,Horton has played well but lost his head making the rash tackle on a player he had just had a spat with,Palmer went back to being Palmet he is such a poor passer it suited him against Pompey because he could send it forward ,you just dont want himmaking passes its scary.
Colclough is another player well off the standard at moment he is much better thancurrent form, quiggs should have come on for sure.
ITS NOT THE WINNING,ITS THE TAKING APART

I'd love to know whether Oldaker was calling for the ball. He presumably was, but I think he could have done a lot more to make a better angle for Palmer by running into space.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

He handed his notice in minutes before he was due to face a disciplinary - once he realised the board were going to sack him and not back down
A new hope.

There is a court date but what happens could be anyone’s guess.

He has just 14 days left before he faces a jury, that should be interesting. Although, it goes without saying S&D will still be in awe of him even if found guilty.

The worry for me is that we’ve played 2 decent teams away and have lost both games

That’s only a worry if you think we will go all season unbeaten

I’m of the view that we will lose 4 or 5!games away at the the best sides. We might draw 4 or 5 games too but win 30 odd games and get 100 points and win the league

What are you worried about? Losing 1 game suddenly becomes a streak before it has? We have a game inhand - even if we draw that it’s a point on the total.
A new hope.

What do we classify as decent? For balance we’ve been to aldershot and Rochdale, 8th and 9th, and won.

And we will lose a few more before the seasons out. Based on current % about 5 in total.

Pretty good season really and should see us promoted.

With all of that goes the fact that other teams are not going unbeaten if in fact they can catch us. Every win makes our position so much stronger.

Exactly that.

Barnet, for instance, have to win 3 more matches than we do and in all their other games collect as many points as we do in ours. That stretches to Bromley needing 4 more wins etc.

We currently have gained 2.5 points a game. Barnet have achieved 2 points per game and no other team have matched that. So, imho, if we can average 2 points a game during our remaining games then we should be home and dry on 102 points.

This year's champions, according to some, Oldham only need 2.88 points per game to match that.
