always a tricky fixture and they are on an awful run at the moment which always seems to reverse itself whenever we have played teams on terrible runs, this team so far this season have risen to challenges better than any side we've had since dropping to NL level, so here's hoping we can keep this very impressive run going, got to do it without Mike Jones which is a shame as its definitely the kind of game we could do with him in.

We've never beaten Maidenhead at their place and have only won against them once at home. We're going into this having won 7 in a row for the 1st time in 56 years and they've lost their last 5 in a row. I can see a lot of people betting on us to win as part of their accas and us being the coupon buster and getting a draw/loss 🙈

Records are made to be broken.
Especially Des O'Connor's Greatest Hits and Pink Floyds' Relics.

Proper bogey team, like we were to Rotherham for a number of years until they broke that run, so you never know, but in this case we do, it's got an odd goal victory to them all over it.

We should beat them, but we don't tend to. I'm going to stick my neck on the line and say we will win, but we might draw or lose.

No such thing as a 'bogey team'. What's happened in past seasons has no bearing whatsoever on what happens on Saturday. We have the best squad we've seen for ages, and the best manager. Nobody can be sure what will happen, with refereeing decisions etc. but I fully expect a convincing win for us.

I have to watch them regularly. The ground is awful and you can see the dressing room on one of Dorking’s episodes, it looks like my garage.
I wonder if any team with decent facilities might think they are playing the old Wimbledon.

Just noticed Dan Sparkes is no longer at Maidenhead, he seemed to always score against us. That’s a good omen for a start.

Will the preparation!!! of the pitch be a potential leveller.

Relics was just an album of thier very earliest recordings and released in 1971. Good for the time and before they really knew what direction they were taking and was predominantly Syd Barrett's band

Of course there is , every team seems to have a certain opponent that they never do anything against.

Maidenhead have won 3 in their last 24 stretching back to last season (Maidstone, Dagenham and dorking).

I mean it's nailed on isn't it? 1-0 to them😅

Seriously though, this team, as we are SHOULD be easing past these. I'm sure we're not gonna take anything for granted either.
Here we go again!

The pitch is not bad to be honest. A lot better than a few years back.

Looks like Maidenhead is on the tube new Elizabeth line which I didn’t know so potentially not impacted by train strikes
