As long as it's a good deal financially for the club then who really cares what the stadium is called, however, for those who know text talk, SMH isn't an ideal name...

Not as bad as I thought. Assumed the first word would be 'suck'.

I wish it could just be "the new saltergate". But if it's a good deal for the club, then great

In that case it should be the new recreation ground being the correct name for the old home

Its not so bad as its never been a stadium that had a proper name which was lost due to sponsorship as many others have done. If it adds some coin to the coffers then it can be put up with.

Yep. I hope the outgoing firm haven't left a substantial bad debt. £1k a week for the last 2 financial years was appalling enough.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

Technically true but you don't see any "last match at the recreation ground" articles 😜

Not that it matters much but that's not an acronym.

I get that we need to get income anyway we can, but from a historical point of view it would be nice in 100 years time to look back and say we played at a stadium with a proper name.

I can't imagine Anfield, old Trafford, villa Park etc. not being called that, but then again wembley by ee , doesn't have the same ring to it.

I know opinion is divided but for me I like to see a stadium be called something fitting and stay that way, and find another way of making that money somehow

They may want to inform the person who does the website of the name change.

Wouldnt have thought so....ones for this season have been ready for collection for a while. I'm a new season ticket holder for this season and picked it up a couple of weeks ago. Cant see them going to the expense of printing a load more already.

Surely the new ST cards haven't been printed with Technique on them?!

They were served a winding up petition on 20th April!

They don't say Technique Stadium on them prominently. They are included in the sponsors space.

It's interesting how they find these sponsors for the stadium name, as I didn't see anything on the website but they seem to always pop up about advertising boards?

Let’s not forget we were told the Kirk lads did have business acquaintances with who they were hoping to get on board. We could very well see some spurious investment as we progress.
God I hate this league.

I would imagine it’s part of the same conversations between the commercial team and potential advertisers.

Can someone pass a message onto whoever is promoting events on Twitter at the club that the ground is no longer called the Technique stadium
