Oxford City away, on BT Sport. Nailed on

Would rather it be Fylde though, August weekender in Blackpool

I'd rather be at home last game than opening day.

As of today, Chesterfield sit quite rightly as one of the favourites for promotion and hopefully that will still be the case when the season kicks off and all comings and goings are sorted for all the teams. My fear for our success will be the huge expectations from some fans which may weigh heavily on Cook and the players with many teams setting up with 10 men behind the ball. Some fans will be expecting us to win the first 10 games( I hope we do) and will be doom mongering if we don’t.

A dose of reality is required.
There are no pushover anymore in this league. We have seen what can happen on a bad day at the office against the so called lesser teams.
We have to graft every game for the W and not take our foot off the gas.
On paper we should stroll this league next season, harsh reality is every team starts on zero points and every team has a chance of success - if they take it

And another reality when playing the majority of teams in this league at home we will be playing in their Cup final. Sounds arrogant I know, but watch the ones who achieve owt celebrate.

If we repeat last seasons away results and rectify the 22 dropped home points from last campaign, we should IMO have enough in the locker to lift the championship trophy next May.

As I said on another thread we should work on the basis that the league will be just as strong next season, even without Notts and Wrexham. I think we should approach it with the attitude that at least one other team could be around the 90 point mark and so we should be aiming around that mark.
If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.

84 points this year, minor improvement needed in order to seal first spot you’d imagine. That 11 game winless run… win 4 of those and we are well above the 90 point mark which this season aside - should be plenty normally for a title win.

I'm 99.9% sure when I went to the ground to renew, the lady on the counter said we are keeping the existing ones

If you are in the same seat as last season you don't need a new card. If you are changing seat you will need a new card.

Yes, your seat info printed on card so yep, new seat new card - I'm in same seat, so no new card required

Strikes me that a lot of nonsense has already been spouted about next season. A number of posters seem to consider it almost a certainty that we'll finish top, which is utterly ridiculous at this time. The difficulty of getting that single automatic promotion spot is being hugely underestimated. Notts County lost only THREE GAMES in the entire season, and still scraped through only on penalties after a game in which they hadn't been ahead of us at any stage. The level of consistency required to finish right at the top of this league is phenomenal, so we cannot take anything for granted for one second, as I'm sure PC well understands.

There no one looking anywhere near the quality of Wrexham & Notts, we are rightly favourites

I totally agree, but nothing is ever straight forward with CFC. So for me it's the old adage let's focus on 1 game at a time and not get carried away. Who knows how the disappointment of losing the play off will affect the players, look back at Torquay a couple of years back.🤞we have the mental strength and use that disappointment to our advantage.
