Any suggestion that JNL had a hold on the Club went with the creditors meeting. The company he sold ceased to exist and a new one, with which he has no connection, was formed. The Football league "share" was awarded to the new company.

I have and found it a pretty good account (although I was very much on the outside then). I did think that right up until the Chesterfield Hotel meeting that JNL felt he had either a legal or a moral hold on the Club.

I think he always and probably does think he has the legal right....
Not heard anything from him about anything to do with the club since...
Problem is that he is a VERY rich man and could have built us a terrific ground with loose change from the back of the sofa.
I wonder who will get his cash when he does pass on because he has no kids..

He could have left a legacy at CFC. I think when he was chairman he was apparantly the 10th richest chairman in English football with something like £90+million.
when you think of it, if he had us at heart , he could have quite easily done what Dave Whelan did at Wigan with us. Remember he came to us from the Stag's and straight out of 'The Keith Haslam School of Directorship', we are best to forget all about him!

Think that you are way out with the reported wealth figures. At the time his fortune was always stated as in the region of £20m to £30m.
Dave Whelan, Majedski etc are in a different league altogether even allowing for inflation with reported wealth in the 100's of millions.

Nope, fraid not, he was worth that ammount I am afraid, like I said in the mid 90's he was worth £92million.

how ironic would it be if he is one of hubbards "investors", after being forced out by the fans.

But I remember seeing the report from one of the broadsheets in the 90's that he WAS the 10th richest chairman in the entire 92 clubs....
FACT(at the time)
Not sure if anyone wants to search up his company.

I'll be amazed if it is/was a 10th of the figure you state.
