The notes below are lifted from the FA website - so if Caleb got two yellow cards, he misses one game, if he got a straight red for fouls and abusive, he gets two. Whatever the choice, it's definitely not the three Big Al was going on about.

(:D PLAYERS SENT OFF UNDER LAW 12 (7)
A Player who is dismissed from the Field of Play for receiving a second caution in the same match will be suspended automatically from all approved First Team matches commencing forthwith, until such time as his Club’s First Team has completed its next match in an approved Competition.

(d) PLAYERS SENT OFF UNDER LAW 12 (6)
A Player who is dismissed from the Field of Play for using offensive or insulting or abusive language/gestures, whether he has previously been cautioned in the match or not, will be suspended automatically from all approved First Team matches commencing forthwith, and until such time as his Club’s First Team has completed its next two matches in approved Competitions.

Professional foul was the reason given maybe the officials don't know why they sent him off :D

Unless the ref got onto the PA rep by mobile I doubt it as that was the reason on the "live commentary".

THe ex-pro covering the game would have had to make the same instant guess as the rest of the press box.

The only official record is the ref's report which will be with the FA today or tomorrow.

And is it something we can appeal against? We have to pay for an appeal I think, so maybe just best to tkae it on the chin if it is only one match.

The reason I asked was because if he'd said it was that, he'd have the FA's learning and training people on him faster than you could say 'unnecessary bureaucratic wording'.
