If Allen and Carson hadn’t treated both the fans and sponsors with utter contempt, the revenue streams might be in a healthier state.
But then I guess the scumbags would have just helped themselves to whatever was there, so maybe not.

They're reaping what they're sowing. £150k? Well next season we should be alright cos if he's willing to put that much in to keep us going then that would be a budget that could see us bounce straight back up.
£150k my a*se!

Then he says costs are UNDER CONTROL!?!
So who has these finances 'under control' - a one armed juggler?!
We next had 'everybody supported Caldwell and said he was a great manager at the time' - REALLY?! Is this the same Ashley Carson who reads our forum on a regular basis?!!!
That was followed by the real biggie - the deposit wasn't five hundred grand it was five percent of the overall deal. A figure of which we're conveniently unaware. Well, in public, at least. What's more the deposit wasn't non-refundable. Which contradicts what Carson himself said, unless I'm mistaken. As does his claim that results and possible relegation weren't a factor. Apparently that was Toby's idea. Oh, but he did admit that when the bidder in his words 'went quiet' there was no attempt on his part to resurrect the deal.
Hmmm...
Ashley's parting statement was 'We're an honestly run club. We've been praised for how much information we offer. We've nothing to hide'.
Is that sobs of despair or hysterical laughter I hear from the stands....?

No,50k wasn't it?.it seemed to me that they would have got the deposit back if the takeover had happened in full otherwise i don't really know what he was trying to say other than the deposit was and wasn't refundable.the only thing he said I hope holds any truth is that he is looking at other investors because when we go down our future is looking very bleak indeed

It's indicative from the paucity of posts on the Annual Accounts thread that supporters now don't give s**t about it any more. He says he'll get stick at the AGM. Well I hope there are no questions about the accounts as that action will send a far clearer message.
He spouts on about having nowt to hide and the fact that 3rd parties praise the accounts, and yet the 2.5 page Auditor's Report make no mention of an alleged FA/EFL investigation, an alleged bust up with Turner, or an alleged financial battle with Liquidators. I'm assured by a top accountant that the excuse that these matters are ongoing and shouldn't be referenced in a report about the previous financial year is tantamount to hogwash because of their importance when reporting to Shareholdersr. Do we have an Auditor reading who would second that?

To be fair to Ashley, I think he was referring to the office stationary cupboard costs being under control, not the playing side
May be wrong but I thought he did acknowledge results/league position could've been an issue. I may be mistaken, but probably like you, I can't face the prospect of listening to that again to double check. Of course it could only be him speculating anyway because as you said he couldn't be bothered finding out why the sale stalled. Only Croot could be bothered making contact with the other party during the silent period. You'd almost think they were doing a potential buyer a favour selling up.

I thought last time we had a breakdown of player wages (in 2016) it was close to £3M for the year, including bonuses and NI
So a total of £200K per month doesn’t seem that far out now
Being £150K short seems to be the head scratcher to me
