Jack said three of four windows to get to the squad he would like, which indicates he likely would have a much changed team on the field to the one he has had to send out so far in his tenure. The good news is that he can start recruiting four or five (including some loanees) if we lose Briggs (contract was to Jan), Jules, Flores, and Diego.

At least Jack knows what is needed and can address the problem in three weeks or so.
For me we need a wide player , a goalie, a tall striker to play alongside Dennis and a defender.
Did anyone who went know why we were struggling .

Did I say that?
But arguably that was the least effective performance since Lincoln

Been a few times but after being ripped off for 22 quid a few years back and then done by a linesman in the last minute, I've no desire to go ever again.
OMG....I remember both sentiments precisely like that....not that I'd remembered them together ever since.....
Until now.....lol....grim ground

There road to recovery is not going to be without the odd bump.
I've not been today so cannot comment on the performance but the fact is Wycombe are unbeaten at home in 3 months and sitting very nicely towards the top of the table. This was always going to be a tough game but I'm sure Jack will ensure they have learnt something from today.
We will finish the season much closer to the play offs than the trapdoor, I'm sure of that.

I can remember a 2-0 lead lost and eventually losing 3-2, about 5 year back?
Along with Bristol Rovers it's another one of those pointless trips.

I'm still optimistic enough to think a trend of improving performances is more important than an odd individual defeat
I can think back to disappointing results against Morecambe, Carlise and Cambridge where I thought given the perforance, survival was a mere formality.
I've got a feeling we have seen the maximum from the current squad and given Jack's interviews he may feel the same

I think it shows how far we've come in 7 weeks under Jack's management feeling disappointed as fans not to be getting something at a top 7 side.
For that matter, Luton apart, I think there is not much difference being a bottom 5 side to a top 5 side if you've got 2 good strikers and a good goalkeeper.

With the bare bones we have, could quite possibly happen. However still half a season to go, the majority of it with a raft of new signings; just because a number of folk have had a bet we will make the play offs doesn't mean that has to be the standard we set the team by. Survival, then start talking about next season is enough for me after the disaster of the last calendar year.
