So the Royal Family is getting it's first mixed race member. Not to mention an American divorcee with a Catholic background.

But hey, that's never been a problem...has it?

Better still she's an outspoken critic of Donald Trump, which might have something to do with his social media silence on the engagement.

Doubt he'll be doing any bleary eyed, tie-to-the-side 'dad dancing' at the post wedding do, either.

But just as everyone thinks they've dodged a bullet the Duke of Edinburgh staggers forward to deliver a speech...

She's apparently a bit of an activist. No doubt she will campaign against the multi-million pound wedding funded by taxpayer money which would logically follow an engagement.

*but goku, the royals bring in so much tourism money!!!*

But that doesn't necessitate that they should hold extravagant weddings when we have nurses using food banks and unsafe housing due to cuts - here's a novel idea, why don't they have a less extravagant wedding and donate the money they would've used to a charitable cause who needs it more? Wouldn't that be groundbreaking.

Wouldn’t the crown estate cover the wedding?

Was reported the other day that "The royal family will pay for the church service, the music, the flowers and the reception". Presumably that leaves all the security etc around the event that will need to be funded.

Why does the word Charity make me feel so uncharitable?

In a truly charitable world maybe we'd have no need of bourgeois charities scattering crumbs from the rich man's table.

Only 62p a year each 😉

Outdated, illogical societal structure.

That's a funny article, Cartman 😂
