Listening to the game last night, Sounds like he had a quality game with some big saves! Surely he has a start on Saturday?
If Fulton starts it nust be a clause in the contract?!

Keith Hill mentioned that he made some fantastic saves so deserves a start in the league. Have tried to back fulton up but it seems someone else deserves a shot

Allinson has already started a league game ahead of Fulton, though, so that would suggest either there is no 'he has to start' clause or simply backs up what the Liverpool press suggested that Klopp had said there is a 'must play the majority of games' (75% rings a bell but not certain of the figure quoted). Not starting a second league game would still be well within that figure.

Wasn't it said Fulton had a slight knock when he didn't play at Fleetwood?

that could've been wilsons way of getting around any difficulties with Liverpool, knowing Fulton needed taking out the team, he could have said Ryan just go along with this its for your own good. Totally speculating of course.

Nothing in the pre-match on the OS, although RF was on the bench.

I assumed it was due to RF's poor performance in the shef utd game the week before?

Surely it was to give the lad experience in a 2 pen cup game and minimising an injury to Fulton with Xmas period upon us.
God I hate this league.

Don't understand this alleged clause thing. When Fulton signed the expectations were that Tommy would be back well before Christmas. No one would expect Fulton to keep a fit Tommy out so how could anyone agree to "he must play a % of games"

Oh hang on, who negotiated on our behalf?

I thought it was common practice to put clauses into this sort of deal. If he plays we don't pay Liverpool, if he doesn't we do. That seems fair to me.

Talking of the player highlights Allison did ok and probably did enough to get the nod next game and Anderson's of the ball 'tackle" would have bee a sending off even if the ball wasn't 20 yards away

Anderson's 'tackle' looked horrendous, the kind that could have been regarded as violent conduct and led to an extended ban- if it had been in a league or FA Cup match.

It was though totally out of character from what we have seen of him. What on earth was going on?

Sod Liverpool, Fulton has made too many mistakes and cost us points, Allison played really well last nigh apart from a Fulton flap which nearly cost us a goal. ( what a fantastic clearance from Dion).

One issue is this stupid disciplinary rules this competition has that probably encourages thuggery

Remember that animal from the Wolves U21 game, ebanks-Sandell (or whatever his name was), shocking tackle, sent off, banned from the poxy completion, now strutting his stuff for the blunts

Absolutely no comeback

We probably can't afford to pay any clause in the contract if he don't play though 😂😂

I'm afraid the lad needs more time to develop - maybe a decent league 2 or lower league 1 team.......wait a minute!!

i may be wrong in this as I've given up trying to understand transfer windows, is Fulton on a season long loan and Allinson here til January? I don't know if this is even possible but if we do have some kind of agreement with Liverpool that he has to play, would we be within our rights to terminate the loan and send him back. we've given him a good go and he hasn't really been up to it imo. meanwhile we have a 2nd keeper who is potentially a better choice. Then again has Chris Turner negotiated these deals, if so, god only knows what may be written in them.

for the record I don't know any of the facts of any of this except that from what I've seen of fulton I am far from convinced.

Fulton is here all season although there is sometimes a recall clause in the January window. Allison has a short term deal that could be extended. Lee's return to action is goiing West so thye probably keep Fulton and extend Allison
