I'd be sorry to see him go as he is one of the few in the team that can create and I thought towards the end of the season he was regularly one of the better players.

If he goes, added to the 2 none league players coming in, all the rumours about financial difficulties at the youth thing (which we aren't anything to do with etc), no rumours of any established league one players coming in, makes you think we are in a mess. We need a solid/spectacular signing soon to redress the gloom.

Cook knows the club, he knows we'll sell for a pretty nominal fee to keep the cash ticking over

May be controversial, but is O'Shea someone we should be desperate to hold on to?

The lad has trickery, however time and time again he's taken a touch too many or a dribble too many rather than shooting or passing at the optimum moment.

Decent enough player, yet if the price is right I wonder if DW can sign someone more consistent.

Can't agree, oshea has stood up to the plate on numerous occasions showing his bottle and grabbing us key goals. Jayo's bravery is hard to come across in the bottom two leagues. Key we keep hold of him.

agree with much of what has already been stated, he is our most creative player, scores goals for us, ocassionally frustrates yes but generally a joy to watch. I believe Danny will go for a more pragmatic approach than previous 3 managers but we still need flair and entertainment.

The most talented & skilful player we have...yes he drifts in & out if games, but he is a game changer....once he's on it, he's on it & no one can get near him

Always, is a key player in big games!

Key player for me to build around & Danny knows this

Strange if this rumour is true, as Cook never let him have a run of games & was a bit part player.

Definitely need to keep him

The squad is thin on talent as it is. To therefore sell a talented first team player to a side in the division below would be insane.

Not controversial in any way, he isn't that good but he does have the knack of doing something special once in a while.

It would justbe a case of Cook trying to recreate his success from elsewhere. That ship has sailed but if he offers over the odds, grab it.

As has said before, we can't stop players improving themselves

did JOS say a new deal with us last summer? i'm sure he did, if I were him and any of this is true I would be asking myself why did PC not try and take him last season?

Doyle? I wonder if Cardiff or Preston think he's worth what we got for him?

Good point - £750k was great for us in hindsight

How can anyone predict anything at this stage before the squad is known.

Not happy, I understand it if a player wants to move up and improve himself and wages, but is Portsmouth really a step up ?

Yes he can have one touch too many sometimes , but when he is in the opposition box you can feel the anticipation rise as he tees himself up for a shot.

At the moment he is by far our best midfielder.

Indeed, I said so at the time and nothing has changed my mind. I'll be interested to see his next career move.

Imagine there being any serious debate about if we should keep O'Shea when our other midfield options are Gardner, Boly, Banks and O'neil

Lol

Don't forget Angel and the lad from Grimsby.

Perhaps he thought he was going to a massive club that would walk out of the division and straight in to league one for an assault on the championship and he didn't think he needed him. He's now down to reality and is still in the basement and needs more help trying to get out of it and might need a player like o'shea for a couple of years
