He said he needs a few more players - after Buxton game in an interview. Can he replace Roberts or Ryan "tomorrow"*, or does there need to be more going out???
*Yes I know they're in Portugal
Cheers

The only people saying that are posters on here. Nobody from the club has said anything of the sort. DS said in his interview on Peak this weekend that we will be making 2 or 3 signings and Alan Biggs quoted CT as saying similar, no caveats.

Reading through all the stuff on here has prompted me to ask quite simply, has Saunders, or anyone else for the record - said that as it stands - no players can come in without any MORE going out?

No, the club have not said that.
I posted that my chum from boza had said "interest in our players had cooled to the disappointment of some at CFC, and that any new deals agreed with our players in the last year of the contract would leave very little left to sign new players"
Biggs a few days later did tweet something similar.
As always, people then either use this as cast iron set in stone, or the opposite, dismiss it out of hand as being a made up rumour. The truth is probably somewhere in between.
If you choose to believe it or not that's your choice.
Another chap did say that we have spoke to some players, but no contract offers as such, just talks to see where the land lay, and these players went elsewhere. No names mentioned though. Again, if you choose to believe it or not is your choice

There are plenty of players out of contract at the moment. The better ones will no doubt have a choice of suitors and will be leaving their agents to do what they do.
DS stated things will hopefully happen at the end of July and fits with the above.
No player is going to accept a deal whilst he has options and the possibility of improving his terms.
It looks as though we may be shopping at Aldi where the bargains are cheaper.

Indeed, they need to money!
Like or not the club has been losing a lot of money in the last couple of seasons, and this situation has to be addressed. Selling players and not letting the budget get out of control are steps to dealing with these losses.....in the meantime we just have roll with it don't we.
As I said, it's largely based on what I have been told, and the accounts are out ere for the last years trading so you don't need to be a brain surgeon to understand it.
Although some seem to struggle with it and need legal aid to have it explained to them.

Nowt so sure as that. We'll try our luck no doubt with some chosen targets. But at the end of the day we'll settle for what we can afford.
