No need to now if i understand the non contract terms he's on correctly...was attached to us at the closing of the window last night so cant play for anyone else until January anyway and we'll only pay him when he plays!

Oh right i didn't know that. Still he's a good player and if he dosen't demand much i don't see why not. We'll have 5 wingers then. Then again i suppose when Gardeners fit we wont need him

He does. The only thing that concerns me now is that the squad is a bit unbalanced, with many attacking options but no cover in CM or full back, so maybe he might be sacrificed - not that he deserves to be. IF he's versatile enough to play at RB in emergency, that could get him a contract.

Bonnyman informs me that Humphreys has been seen sprinting up and down't touchline like a good un, so our squad is no longer threadbare.
The bench a week on Satday might be : Chapman, Broadhead, Banks, Humphreys, Banks, Bolly, Boco.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

Does anyone know how "non contract terms" actually work? Could it be that we are paying a slight premium to Boco under this scenario than what he would earn per week under contract (like a contractor in the workplace)?

My guess is Cook has committed to Boco that we will not leave him high and dry and will continue with the current arrangements until January, at least, and perhaps financially it is also a deal that Boco is currently happy with.

From what i can gather reading around its basically a bit of a rolling contract that means we hold his registration so he can feature for us. Works on a rolling week basis and, window permitting i would think, players can move if the other team gives the current team 7 days notice of signing the player. I thought it also meant they basically only got paid if they played but it appears the actual terms of payment are open to whatever they see fit so we could in fact be paying Boco a small basic wage then extras if he plays, scores etc.

How would a 'pay as you play' player get paid if they get injured? Wonder if PFA help or some sort of private insurance covers it ?
If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.

No idea to be honest...i suspect players can get some form of insurance to cover it or get help from the PFA but dont know the ins and outs.
