Money but no class, comman as cack, attention seeker, that's how would sum up Glynn tamplin who makes George Reynolds look refined.

You've met him I take it to have this opinion?

I don't know much about him but you draw all these conclusions from his tattoos?

Has he got ACAB tattooed on his hands? 😂

I would have thought there was plenty enough people around there to support a moderately successful lower league club.

Most people in Essex support Tottenham and West Ham, with Southend mopping up the rest. As proven with Colchester’s support it’s not exactly a hotbed for football.

The guy who owns Billericay is an odious creature. They are a disaster waiting to happen and I can see them ending up like Hornchurch did. Billericay is not big enough to support this level of football, and the owner is mad to think this. He was quoting in the press earlier in the season that if the local council didn't approve a new stadium, he would think of uprooting the club to nearby Basildon.

The 'Most Tinpot Thing I Ever Heard' thread on onefootballforum is dominated by Tamplin and his eccentricities, with a fair dash of Mansfield thrown in, too.

We have our own 'Tinpot' thread.
These go to eleven.

I've never met Glynn tamplin and don't want to but if anyone recalls George Reynolds you will take a pint of where the clubs going. As for been near big clubs draining support, partly true but in the case of these, AFC Blyth. Shaw lane etc it does not help when the owner hacks folk off.

Thought Crawley looked a good side when they came to us last season. Atleast they tried to play the game instead of being thugs like Stevenage etc.

He did well at Crawley after a less than impressive start.

A good manager, has lots of contacts in Netherlands’s, Belgium and Denmark to recruit lower league players. Couple of gems found already. Wouldn’t say no to him being boss here TBH.

Well that was a twist - Glen Tamplin has walked from Billericay putting up for sale with immediate effect! I was due at a meeting there this week- maybe not now!
Wonder if he'd be interested in buying a midlands Conference side......

Speculation down there is that he is interested in buying Chelmsford City.

Tamplin adds the old caveat about selling to someone with the club's best interests at heart, so he's going nowhere.
It's nice to be able to Trust again.

If I’d injected £2.5m of my own cash I’d expect to be able to sniff a line off the centre halves shaft, never mind in the toilets!
