Fishpond at Matlock Bath.

We've been a couple of times now and I would go as far as to say, it's the best in the area. Well done beef, medium beef, well done lamb, medium lamb, turkey, gammon, pork, Yorkshires, stuffing, roast potatoes, mash, creamy leeks, cauliflower cheese, parsnips, peas, carrots, swede, green beans, etc.

The only downside is you only have the table for 90 minutes.

Took your reccomendation and went on Sunday after a walk down Cromford Canal. Was really good

Anyone been to pizza pi @top cats bar near station. What a over-priced over rated pile of crap, pizza was soggy in the middle and they a naff selection of immitation foreign lager which they think they can charge premium prices for. Had better at dominoes, wetherspoons etc And as per as it was under its previous guise (theres been a few) the toilets stink

Didn't the owner shaft his creditors out of £35k by 'selling' the assets to another of his companies just before winding the original one up?!

Probably whats known as a pre pack administration where you do a deal to buy the business from the administrators and walk away from the debts of the old one. Sadly perfectly legal, as it has to be signed off by the courts I believe, and allowed on the basis it saves jobs whilst allowing the business to escape from some previous issues that were not likely to be repeated..
Stay Home. Stay Safe.

Think so, could say a smart move to avoid paying creditors in full. Never known a business have so many locations in such a short existance

Thought the one on vicar lane was decent, didn’t know they’d moved though or been reborn again in a different incarnation

They started down by the police station then moved to Vicar Lane i think and after leaving there had a few incarnations in various pubs including brampton social club i think.

Belated Valentine's meal For my Mrs at Lovage in Bakewell tonight! Fantastic taster nenu and it properly cheered me up after the Bromley match...

....until the bill arrived and the £30 bottle of Aussie Chardonnay I casually ordered was misconstrued and turned out to be the £114 one!

Sometimes you bite the bear and sometimes the bear bites you!!!!!

It all ended up ok though...

Just tried bottle and thyme for a family birthday breakfast and very nice it was too! Excellent service, reasonably priced and good food. We will definitely go back!

My daughter would definitely echo that! She’s a regular.

We booked in advance, didn't think it would be necessary on a Sunday morning to be honest but as it was a birthday thought it prudent. I am glad we did it was heaving and they were turning people away all the time we were in there. Mind you the town centre was unusually busy for some strange reason, as it normally totally dead.

We also went to Lombardi's on Friday which was steady as always (despite pizza oven issues) and I am really looking forward to giving Sicily a bash next weekend for mothers day, as we've not tried it yet!

Went to Sicily next to the St Helens pub tonight and it was very good. Picked it due to the reviews I'd read on TripAdvisor which were nearly all positive and I can see why. Good service and really reasonably priced too. Every table was full and booking well in advance for weekend nights is a must as it's not that big. All the usual Italian dishes with some interesting twists here and there and a few chefs specials...we will be going back!

Been to the now re-opened Ashford Arms for lunch today. Thought it was really good, albeit not cheap. Had a full refurb and looks like it’ll be a great place in the summer as loads of outdoor seating too.

Was a 4 course set menu for Mothers Day, but a fair bit of choice for each course. Not sure what their normal menu is going to be like
