Watched Late Kick Off this morning, and saw something that may be a good idea for us. They were interviewing people outside the Doncaster ground, and on the side of the stadium it said, “Keepmoat, Home of Doncaster Rovers FC”, and thought that could work for us. So how do you think “B2net, Home of the Spireite’s” would look on the front of the building? They could change the name of the sponsors anytime and it would still have a connection to us! What do you think?

Not a bad idea, personally I'd like to see a "welcome to Chesterfield FC" sign on the inside of the ground, west stand for the TV camera's

Not a bad idea, but then you'll make a whole nation of internet proofreaders irate!

Thanks, always willing to learn, my apologies to all the apostrophe police for my unforgivable lapse in punctuation, or am I wrong again, I await your corrections with bated breath! :(

Would like to think though that the club, if it ever thought to do this, would use a professional sign writing company, and not just cut and paste it off this message board, but as I am apparently so stupid, I wouldn’t understand that would I?

Not having a dig at you, it's a good idea. I'd like two signs, one that said 'Spireites' and the other Chesterfield FC. But I hope the club does use a professional signage company, because the level of language on the OS is abysmal. Reading through the Breckin article I found countless 'schoolboy' errors.

BTW, I blame my father for my affliction, he was a teacher, now he's a professional proofreader. I'm also an English teacher.

I wouldn't trust the club to design signs, look what we got with the club badge and the spires would it be another embarrassment hung off our lovely stadium.

The club didn't design the spires, and the badge is growing on many of those who were unimpresed at the start, as a seperate thread somewhere indicates. I'd be against it on the grounds that I wouldn't want the stylish frontage cluttering up - after all, you don't have a big sign on Buck House, saying "Buck House," do you?
