Used to live in The Parish of Ashover. Former wife of Neil Wilby, founder and former owner of the Chesterfield Express newspaper which was bought out and eventually phased out by its main opposition the Derbyshire Times. A really nice lady.

That's quite an accurate assumption.

Good luck Carol, lets hope she looks more at ease in a few months time than what she does in the press release image with Barrie Hubbard stood behind her.

If this is another step towards CFC becoming a twenty first century football club, then great: welcome aboard.

But i've a question: how does the new CE fit into the management structure of the Club?

I'm sure DA will always have the final say in all matters, but does this mean Hubbard and the other 'six percenters' are further marginalised or will she answer to them?

If she does half as good a job as the late Sue Green did in the office ( god bless her), then we would have a cracking chief exec. Lets hope she has the charisma to match, I am glad to see a woman heavily involved in the running of the club in some capacity and I wish her and the Club all the very best for the future.

Based on the information in the press release, she will be responsible to the Board, though I can see that becoming streamlined in the future.

I'm embarrassed by the actions of those who run my club.

Since she has never been involved in the management of a professional football club she is a commercial risk.

Having the position seems to be a step in the right direction. How she'll do none of us have any idea.

Good luck to her.
