Dwight Yorke played 4 games last season (and scored 2 goals) and is coming to the end of his days...

Stan Lazaridis is also a very old player for the premiership, but a good one.

Both Birmingham. If you look at all the clubs it could be anyone. If you listen to the "Jason" rumour i hope its Jason Jarrett (Wigan) as he is far better than JCR.

the end of the day, it must be a big signing for town or ricco wouldn't say, maybe its a ploy for more ticket sales and then it'll "fall through" call me a sinick!

No seriously I'm well looking forward to this, when is it announced?

Craig Moore (30 this year) is unattached to any club at the moment.

But wasn't at a prem club last year. Was in Germany getting the sack at Borussia Dortmand for being aled up at training.

Is captain for the Aussies at the Confed Cup.

Another wild guess

only recently went to Wigan though didn't he from Cardiff? He'd make a great signing though.

I suspect there is no-one who uses this messageboard hasn't had the same thoughts as Freddie.

The last thing I would want to see is a Gazza type player who is on a downhill slide and still thinks he can play a bit. Good signings can still happen though at this level as someone pointed out with Barmby et al.

Its a bit nail biting to say the least but I suspect that Roy and Rico and in particular Bazza H will be acting with extreme caution. If we do sign a McAteer or a Barmby type I will be well chuffed.

I just keep saying to myself "Have we been seriously let down with any signings in the last 24 months" I have to be honest and say no, the only question marks for me were Stallard and McMaster although I think Stallard would have done well had he had some service. McMaster, well he failed to live up to his reputation and that was down to him.

yeah, I'd have to agree. But the end of the day if it is a name as big as they say it is then it'll definately bring ticket sales up!!

Lets hope it's announced soon!!
