4 years and certain people are still claiming hes "developing", whats he developing into? a sunday-league standard player?

Its time to put him out of his misery imo and let him go.....

It does wind me up we seem determined to destroy any forward with the smallest bit of potential. Jackson should have been brought on up front, looks fast tricky any like he could cause problems but instead were gona try (and fail) and convert him into a winger and therefore he wont play well and thats it.
He looked excellent when he got into the box but offered very little as a winger.

funny that started back in the Norris days, in fact even before when Caldwell (loon that he was) was playing and was vilified. It continued through with Burt, Bradley who in my opinion was hounded out of Saltergate....Larkin left on the bench or being made to run around on his own....must be something in the water at Saltergate

But im not just basing my opinion on one meaningless game against a bunch of reserves and kids but over a few years. Every player goes through a bad spell at some stage but i think you have to draw the line at 4 years, the club has stuck by him but he hasnt delivered. He might look good on the the training pitch, he might be the nicest guy you could want to meet but he doesnt look like cutting it on the football pitch at our level.

Ok you make a valid point but tell me why Roy McFarland doesn't share the same view as you and others on here.

Missed a sitter!!!! I was at the game and it wasn`t a sitter by any means.
Those who treated Folan like a leper tonight are a fecking disgrace!!!!

New season, clean slate, if he doesnt do it this time his Chesterfield days are over, but for gods sake don`t boo and jeer a Chesterfield player in a friendly..MORONS..

Was that when he challenged in the corner and rather clumsily landed on his arse, only to leap up battle for the ball, recover it and poke it to Niven who should have done better from the edge of the area?
