Is this a baldrick style DA plan that may bear fruition !!

If we do get half a million then in my view a total result, the club gambled on Ched (to a degree) I understand paid him very modestly and will cash in .

Hopefully the cash will help plug a tiny proportion of the gaping holes that continue to appear.

Be nice if it funded some decent signings but that is just wishful thinking

Hope I'm wrong but I predict the debt won't change and GC will see very little of it.

It wouldnt even surprise me if Caldwell had no say in the sale. He probably got told something along the lines of 'Oh Gary, Ched's off by the way to Sheff U so he cant play on Sunday'

More from 'Deepthroat': highly dubious about the five hundred grand. Probably just spin from CFC to somehow justify Evans' exit.

We'll see how much gets lopped-off the debt, won't we...

Another whisper is there's been contact between Drew Talbot and CFC. Apparently things haven't gone well for him on the south coast largely due to yet more fitness issue.

Ah well, at least he'll be back on a familiar treatment table at the Proact...

So lets us sign him then! Do we not learn?

On current form, Caldwell not getting any of this money has to be a good thing doesn't it ?

At one point he was quoted as having fallen out of love with football... But then again i supposed having a right winger take your starting berth early in the season and make it your own doesn't help.

For what's it's worth i had no issues with Talbot and he has been in the squad recently... If he hasn't settled then good luck to him... Perhaps he just fits with you lot.

I'm sure the accounts turnover figure will give a good indicator of the fee

Might not be wise of Carson to exagerrate the fee too much anyway as we'll all expect an influx of quality players

The last time it was said we were paying a modest wage to a player, it ended up costing the club circa £150K in wages and add-ons in his first year!

Guy Branston was at the speakeasy on Friday, one of the things he said about recruitment was that he looked into players minutes on the pitch, if they can't play at least 35 games a season due to injuries then he won't recommend them.

That rules drew out then, he struggles to do 35 minutes these days.

It was reported in the press that we were paying him £3K per week when we signed him which is modest for a player of his reputation but laughable for his eventual output
