Now we’re truly talking bad keepers

He was a decent keeper for us, and wouldn't be even in the top 10 worse keepers of recent times, never mind worst players of any position.
3 things - his departure left a bad taste

His performance at Uddersfield was a complete contrast to his 'traffic cone' debut at home v Colchester.

Can’t remember the detail but it turned a bit nasty after he delayed signing a new contract and we withdrew it before he realised it was the best offer he was going to get.
Doesn’t change the fact that he was good shot stopper and not as bad as some claim.
Came back last year in a Trophy game as an assistant manager (Bedford?) and got a decent reception

Yhep agree on all your points. However the ' only had good things to say' claim seemed a bit odd considering his inauspicious departure and makes one wonder was it a bit of name dropping to enhance ones ego.
Nathan Abbeys demeanour, game appreciation, conduct in the technical area during the FAT game was a credit and a breath of fresh air at this level
