The sooner a financial licensing system such as in France and Germany is bought in the better. I’d imagine a 2/3 division demotion for clubs who soon get their houses in order.

You'd hope so. Who'd replace them? It doesn't bear thinking about

Might be a bit late with the fixtures out in just over a month but if so i think 23rd place in League 2 avoids relegation initially so wont be another team coming up. That said i think it would just be a 23 team League 2 if it doesnt happen very soon.

I'm sure we have played in 23 team leagues in the NL in recent years. Great the EFL are making us feel at home.

You would have to give it to the playoff runners-up wouldn't you? I can't think of any other option.

No way. League Two would start with 23 teams, with only one relegated. Loads of precedents that way on.
Never, at this level, is a club offered an unexpected promotion.

Worth keeping an eye on Blackpool, perhaps, whose owner has been charged with insider dealing in Hong Kong.
It's nice to be able to Trust again.

Morecambe are nowhere near as bad as southend whos dodgy owner had been there for years and did not want to sell and they probably had more debt. Infact has ron martin fully gone from southend

Morecambe have been for sale for two years and the only interest to date appears to have been from Tyson Fury and then some very iffy looking young lad claiming to have some global drinks empire but from what people can find they've never sold a bottle! Article here all about it.

What with this, Fleetwoods owner being banged up for years and it appearing that the Blackpool owner is being investigated all is not well over that way for clubs and owners!!

Tongue was planted firmly in cheek when I made that comment.
