when and what do we expect?
think the players and staff will be back from their promotion celebration holiday now, main question marks seemed to be over jacobs and banks, an uncertainty over had palmer triggered an extension and what happens to king?
Banks will do what he always does, wait until the last possible minute and take the offer that suits him best. It’s a different ball game if you have more than one offer but will we allow him that time when we obviously have big ambitions. -

it's certainly a blue season, with leicester and ipswich taking the championship, then pompey win league 1, , stockport take league 2, of course we smashed the NL, so just the millionaires league to go and it will almost certainly go to city AGAIN (yawn) . pleased for morsy, watched quite a few ipswich games on tv this season and he is class act.
32 yrs old now, does that mean he won’t play in the Premiership next season. -

Well done Ipswich, but I'm mostly really pleased for Sam Morsy, who was brilliant for us, and is as honest and hardworking a professional as you'll see at any level. It's great to see him get to the Premier League, but it could be a while before we can welcome him back here I think.
On another view is The Premiership really the promised land for a club like Ipswich, not many promoted clubs survive without a massive cash investment and now the constraints of financial compliance prevent the ‘play thing’ approach by billionaire ownership. Bournemouth, Fulham, Brighton seem to be establishing a successful model but things can change so quick in football.
I’d guess survival will be the initial goal but they certainly have a fight on their hands. -

Not sure what id think to that if I was an altrincham fan
I guess a dose of reality is required. Their ground has sections fenced off with holes in the roof in the away section. The concrete terracing underfoot is horrendous, Saltergate would be a hundred percent better. They must have the difficulty of attracting fans whilst in the immediate shadow of Merseyside and Manchester yet still have to remain viable. On the whole they seem to be good at spotting and attracting players with potential, their fans I’m sure will understand that going forward they must sell on players.
