The Prodigy
Simple Minds
Liza Minnelli
UB40
Take That
Bryan Ferry
Manic Street Preachers
The Beach Boys
Dunno what the club are playing at really, the stadium standing unused all summer, leaving money on the table.

Take that too big.
Prodigy not actually touring this summer apart from festival dates.
Liza Minnelli, god knows.
Beach boys I would doubt they'd fill it.

With that choice, it wouldn't be worth covering the pitch and setting up, Tom Jones failed to sell out and the party at the Proact was as popular as the Play Off Home Leg.
Sometimes the hassle involved outweighs the Profit when the Artists are not big enough to pull the people or they want too much to appear/

They're booked for an arena tour in November, they sell plenty to make it a worthwhile gig (IF they were touring this summer and IF they weren't playing too close by)

Surely 'God only knows' is the Beach Boys

He raises an interesting point. We have a first class venue but we have management that is frit. No bottle. Get the date, the act, and the organiser right and it's guaranteed income.

We are up against a multitude of other venues then and our problem is that we fall between the capacity of the smaller arenas & the big stadium gigs.
Understandably promoters will take the easier and better trodden paths.

There's festivals too which don't help. A lot of these are being phased out because of lack of demand. i wonder which acts would actually fill the Proact....... scratches head. Beach Boys are at the city hall in Sheff. They only have two original members - Al Jardine and Mike love - all the rest are kids
Maybe: Duran Duran iron maiden AC DC bon jovi Paul McCartney Roger Waters Taylor Swift Rolling Stones Pink ....... One Drection would be way down my list

It worked for the Elton John concert, let someone else do the work and take the risk
Sadly the profit generated wasn't enough for DA and he wanted a bigger slice of the pie
Last years concerts and the discovery it wasn't the holy grail probably had as much to with the subsequent belt tightening as anything else
