Does anyone know when his one match suspension takes place?
Could have done with it being tonight against Oldham and hope its not against Charlton.

So he has four bookings, will he suspended for the Charlton game if he picks up the 5th at Gillingham? If so, maybe better to give him another game off to recover from his injury.

The Football League still see to have him with three but regardless suspensions for cumulative cautions come into affect seven days after the trigger booking not for the next match.

Funnily enough, neither do the Press Association in the report stats for the game, and I can find no mention of it in the report. Possibly only three, then - but definitely not five!

Case closed then as the disciplinary record on football league site don't mention anything about any of our players being suspended now or in the immediate future but i could have sworn Allot and Niven were on 4 a piece before Allott got booked i think at Donny and i wasn't alone in thinking this.

don't give the f.a any further chances to have a 'pop' at this club- we have had no favours from them since that fat sheff ########## swindled us.... hope he's getting severe pains in reverse parts of his body if he's still where he should be until he sells up and pays us back

As a great admirer of Allott (the heartbeat of the team), I still have to admit that he's more of a Paul Scholes than a Roy Keane when it comes to tackling; when I see him going for it on the edge of our box I just shut my eyes tight and pray that he misses completely, and it usually works!

Neither Scholes nor Keane can tackle. Both of them got away with murder as a result of who they played for. There are very few good tacklers in the upper (or lower for that matter) eschelons of the modern game. Care to name a few?

I think you're right, and it's probably because players, especially in the Prem, are so good at 'going down' as soon as anybody breathes on them, that tackling is a risk. Having said that there are still some good tacklers, maybe Carvalho, Terry, Gary Neville, Rio Ferdinand (when he's not posing), Toure and Gallas at Arsenal, and of course Rueben and Phil Picken! Being able to remember watching the likes of Hunter, Reaney, Madely, 'Chopper' Harris, Tommy Smith etc etc, it is all a bit tame nowadays, and don't please get me started on that apology for a football match perpetrated by Chelsea and Barca the other night - there wasn't one challenge worthy of being called a tackle in the entire game, and it still looked like a battlefield littered with wounded soldiers, what a disgrace the whole lot were.
