There are teams in worse situations than us. Scunthorpe and Rochdale have both lost their top scoring strikers. There's not much about and not much time to replace. I am not worried one bit

You might be if we have to accept any offers on our lads
God I hate this league.

Colchester
Crawley
Crewe
Fleetwood
Oldham
Notts County
Rochdale
Scunthorpe
Walsall

These are all the teams that we have an equal or better squad than. Why is everyone so negative? We won the league last year and finished stop scorers without an amazing striker, we were infront of the likes of Scunthorpe, Rochdale who both had 15+ strikers. We are playing some beautiful football and every single one of our midfielders are capable of scoring (as seen by Morsy v Leeds). We will be fine and will stay up. Everyone needs to chill out and support the team we have. I would rather have one of the best midfields in league one than the best striker in league one. One player does not make a team!
[/qu
we also won the league in 2010/2011 season and promoted with the likes of bury, wycombe and Stevenage ..because we never improved the squad got relegated the following season and finished below the teams that were also promoted with us.....history gonna repeat itself ??

You want me to list all the ones we were crap in? You can add Mansfield away, Accrington away, Southend away, Southend at home in FA Cup. Not to mention the many frustrating matches when we just couldn't score. People love to look back with rose-coloured glasses.

If we had played to our potential in every match, then yeah, we would have won the league long before the end of the season.

Agree Portsmouth,Scunthorpe,Newport,Exeter at home all tedious draws apart from Exeter who we somehow managed a draw against.

But in 2011-12 we also lost some major players from our championship winning team, Davies and Smalley to name 2 shortly followed by major injuries to Jack and Tommy. This time round we have kept all our major players with the exception of Mark Richards who(even though I liked him)is no Craig Davies. So I think we will be OK this time around, don't get me wrong I would love to see some signings but if this is what we've got I'm not panicking.

Assuming it will be nearly Impossible to sign a 20 a season striker on our v limited budget I think we will see a Wayne Allison type signing, a big striker who can be a target man open things up for others, give us an option if tippy tappy football not working, and maybe get 7 or 8 goals themselves. Hopefully a superior version of Parkin, the sort of player Cookie wished he'd signed last season anyway. On a low wage, with possibly a secure 2 year deal to make up for it, as we did with Paul Hall.

Just checked the bookies odds. By no means infallable, but they have 12 teams on shorter odds than us to go down. Crewe, Colchester, Port Vale, Gillingham, Oldham, Rochdale, Crawley, Notts Cunty, Bradford, Walsall, Fletwood and Coventry.
And these guys, William Hills etc, are NOT wearing blue tinted glasses.

They do however seem to have very little clue on what goes on below the Championship beyond looking at the league tables.

I have been moaning a lot lately so trying to look on the bright side. There may be one out there who would come for a 2 year deal.

Fleetwood will be ok, cant see Coventry being in the bottom 4 and Gillingham have a decent side. Hessenthalers son is there, and is rumoured to be a chip of the block.
A new hope.

They know something we all don't. I think we've recruited reasonably well. The only current problem we face, is, our squad just isn't big enough. Granted, we're still yet to sign 4-5 players, but whilst our starting XI looks ok, we haven't got much strength in depth.

GK: Jordan Pickford

RB: Stephen Darby
CB: Rory McArdle
CB: Andrew Davies
LB: Alan Sheehan

DMF: Gary Liddle

CM: Mark Yeates
CM: Billy Knott

AMF: Billy Clarke

ST: Aaron McLean
ST: James Hanson

Subs:
James Meredith
Jason Kennedy
Niall Heaton
Matty Dolan
Oli McBurnie
Lewis Clarkson

Right now, I'd settle for a 8th-12th finish.

Why? I wasn’t overly impressed with them last season and I personally thought they were very lucky to get promoted.
Fight for your opinions, but do not believe that they contain the whole truth, or the only truth.
