Yes talks about us quite a bit, he's good mates with Sheckleford so is well informed, agreees we are the best national league team of all time. Covers his failed medical at Birmingham, praising how we handled his disappointment.
Worth re-tuning in, although it drags on for nearly two hours as they cover the latest national league results

Maybe Paranoia but I think he said something that he/they decided was best to leave out there, but then it came back in with him praising us (with a very stern face).
It all sort of adds up now with the rumours flying around
Our folks couldn't tell the ankle wasn't fully healed and he was told it would correct itself through games, the Birmingham Medical showed it up and so they came back to us to negotiate the fee, we held our ground and eventually BCFC decided it wasn't worth the risk.
Kabby returns but obviously not best pleased with a) the ankle not being fully fixed and b) us not giving way in negotiations, decides he wants to rest up for a further amount of time to allow the injury to heal fully (ala Cook telling us he's taking time off), which you can't really blame him

Yep, Cook handled the situation perfectly. As I’ve said elsewhere, Cook knew exactly what he was doing bringing him on for the last 10/15 minutes of games when we’d already passed teams to death. Tshimanga’s goals per minute record was really good because of it and possibly didn’t quite tell the true story.

I quite like this 'Beyond the 92' Youtube channel. Two good lads that run it, very knowledgeable about the league a players and good banter too. I'm just listening to the Chris Conn-Clark interview, again a good listen/watch and includes talk at length about Chesterfield.....recommended

Yes, they are good lads.
Olly Banks did a previous episode as well.
They are very knowledgeable about the NL but as they both play for Boreham Wood then I suppose they ought to be.
PS Luke Walsh podcast live on YouTube about 9pm on Thursdays is good as well.

Perhaps there was some truth in it (although it may have been exaggerated for dramatic effect).

Have been listening back to the Sky is Blue Podcasts from the start of the season and absolutely love them! Although one ended on my bike home from work last night and "We Can Build Our Dreams" played out the episode... I was a mess, tears everywhere, good job it was raining!

Conn-Clarke one was good, he was extremely complimentary about us.

As Kabby has sailed through medicals at Peterboro, Fleetwood and Borhamwood since, me thinks it was either a cynical move by Birmingham to drive the price down or a face saving exercise as Town would not accept their payment terms on the drip.

KABBY was a good goal scorer but his old round play was poor, never headed the ball, couldn’t hold it up and questionable work rate

I don't think you're far off.
Clubs will have different tolerances when it comes to assessing fitness and past injuries. Likewise, it wouldn't be unusual for a manager or a club to take a gamble on a player that has injury issues, it's certainly happened up here in the past.
If, at the eleventh hour, the buying club wants to renegotiate the buyout figure in a player's contract, then the player and his agent could always step in and make up the difference if they were desperate for a move.

Hang on a bit. Why couldn’t our medics tell whether it had healed? And did we ask Brum to pay us the full fee cos we knew he’d be fine after he played a few matches for them? Yep, right.

That seems to be the narrative that Kabby has gone with during this podcast
States that he felt something wasn't right with his ankle and asked our physio about it but was told it would improve over time with games and fitness, and then seems to be the hang up Birmingham had over the deal to come back and try and negotiate us down
