He also doesn't like working above the M25, His spell at Notts County swore him off Northern clubs.

we should have signed him when he was at Alfreton, I'd have him instead of COG and EBlake any day.

Unless we sell a load of players or give away for free we will have virtually the same squad for next season. It doesn't matter who the manager is, they are the same rubbish players. All next seasons budget is spent on last seasons dross.
We may just avoid relegation next season.

If that is gospel, then DA and AC should hang.......their heads in shame.
I know they won't, but still...
Personally, I didn't know Allen had applied, but he should have been put in immediately instead of Jack.
God, I hope this is just a story doing the rounds.
That is a colossal **** up letting MA slip through the net.
If he is willing to come now, even after the rudeness of not returning his calls, get that man in NOW!

His non league knowledge is invaluable be great if we got shut of O'Grady and paid for akinde few additions he's the one to bring back good times the board wouldn't mess him about
Agreed about Allen, but would anyone really be able to succeed under the current regime?

It depends if DA and AC stick their ore into team matters.
If *new manager* demands bottom line x, y & z players - and doesn't get the required resources to do the job - then I'd expect limited success.
If they agree to the demands (within reason) of the *new manager*, get the right players to do a job, we should be fine.
*new manger* IMO > Mart Allen, Nicky Law or John Sheriden.

I think Allen himself said that he had applied for the Town job but got no reply after Saturdays match
Ronnie Moore love him or hate him also threw his hat in the ring during yesterdays Radio Deedah football coverage
He mentioned that with last seasons budget we should never have gone down. And as someone who knows what budgets are in the National League if next seasons predicted budget is correct we would have a good chance of getting back up

You must be the only person to listen to Radio Deedah. I've heard a rumour they are set to drop Chesterfield from their coverage next season.

Rest assured I do not make a habit of listening to their coverage I just heard that Ronnie Moore snippet in an early sportsdesk this morning
If they covered Doncaster in the Conference as it was then but drop us then that would be typical of the Deedahs
but you cannot tell them anything anyhow
