Nottingham Forest and Stuart Attwell. Well there's a thing.

I was a guest at the Derby v Forest match in 2008. I'd go as far as to say that, in my opinion, it was the worst refereeing performnace that I've ever seen.

Attwell's final act was to disallow a Derby goal from a corner. There was nothing from being there or from the replays that I could see to suggest there was anything wrong with the goal at all. I thought that Attwell managed to seriously hack off the players, staff and supporters of both sides through his decisions that day.

It's no 'hobbies' thread unfortunately, but I though I'd say that Dull Men's Club (and the UK Chapter) provides something of a change of tone to some of the less savoury stuff posted by the very (very) small minority on here. Not just men and by no means dull. It's available on facebook.

As a taster (and argaubly with a Watford, or 'down south' theme) a recent post was 'A question which requires no definitive answer as it is a dull subject, but does anyone else de-classify numbers when waiting for a bus? One of my local routes is a good ‘312’ service taking me into Croydon. If someone were to pay me this amount in cash it would be referred to as ‘three hundred and twelve pounds’ but when referring to the bus route it’s referred to as ‘three-one-two’. Why do we do this?'

Just seen the various penno shouts from tonight's potentially important Euro qualifier.

The ref seemed unusally keen to give Turkey a penno despite being a good way away. He was less interested in the two, possibly three Wales shouts.

VAR didn't seem to get involved.

I can just about remember when politicians used to do stuff like this. It seems a long time ago.

He is genuinely caring for those less fortunate and genuinely using the power gained to do something to improve their lives.

And no talk of 'world beating', no cash to already-rich 'entrepreneurs', no double counting of already committed funding, no use of incorrect basleines with vague dateless targets, and just the opposite of the appalling 'unlike me', demonising mentality that this government increasing seems to rely on.

Johnson, Sunak and their mates should hang their head in shame that it takes a Royal to do their jobs for them.
