Commentator just said Ipswich are always patient with their managers, Cook may disagree

things did not work out for Covolan when he was with us for various reasons but that doesnt mean that he is a bad keeper

It is amazing what a difference it makes as a goalkeeper when you just focus on being a good goalkeeper, rather than coming charging out of his box and trying to be the second-coming of Vintage Manuel Neuer.
Covolan was a coup for The Stones – on his day more than good enough as a League Two goalkeeper, in my opinion – and it is credit to the work that former defender and current manager George Elokobi has done in stripping Covolan’s game back to the basics; I certainly haven’t seen any of the kamikaze, car-crash moments that plagued his form over the last two years.
Instead, Covolan has presented himself as a picture of renewed calm in net for a Stones side that have the best defensive record at this time of asking, having conceded only 14 goals in the league.

I agree, but let's face it, the way he charges off his line and takes players out, he is a bit off his nut, had a great game today, he's always been a good shot stopper.

Great manager that Cook is, he obviously signed Covolan to use him as a ball-playing sweeper keeper. Which he never was. So, fair play to Maidstone for managing him properly, the lunatic.

Don’t miss playing these one bit, hope they do the Staggies to a promotion spot so we don’t meet them next season.

Agree 100% but I’d much rather Wrexham go up than the stags
