I think the sentiment is great, however I suspect the club will be looking for a name on a stand that costs around £25k in sponsorship.

They'd probably want a sponsorship fee from the Moss family! Nothing would surprise me with this lot at the helm.

But I would certainly support your idea!!

Does Sir Alex have to sponsor his stand at Old Trafford?

We're hardly talking clubs with a like for like comparison here regarding sponsorship and income are we ?

I'm all for Ernie's contribution to the history of CFC being honoured in any way possible, but given the clubs current financial position they can hardly afford to turn down circa £25k a year for stand naming rights can they ?

Agree totally, perhaps when the Just Giving page for Team Ernie ends we could explore the options to start funding this ?

Personally I'd favour the statue in a prominent position on 'Ernie Moss Way' leading down to the ground.

Your are on fire at the moment! A great idea and what better time for the club to contact you or fan represetatives regarding this idea to move forward with a joint venture to make this happen.
A conciliation olive branch opportunity?

One can only hope for a reasoned path to solve this impasse.

Brian Clough and Peter Taylor at Derby is an excellent example.
