I think we were all given a lift from the disappointment of the defeat when the news came through that Barnet and Sollihull had lost. In fact, when it dawned on me we'd improved our position at the top on goal difference, by the time I'd walked back to Prittlewell Station, I was feeling quite relaxed about losing.

Southend's version of the highlights (presumably, or do TNT edit 'live' games?) up now. We don't look nearly as bad as it seemed at the time. Apart from the individual errors for their goals.
