Gotta love him.
In a nutshell it was "The players are immense, they are giving me everything........But they've gotta work hard to stay in this team."
A genuine blend of praise and arsekicks, he's going places.

He's doing it slowly. He's seemingly got them fitter and got them playing in a simple and recognisable formation. The rest bit by bit will fall into place.

I didn't see a side that will relegated to the non-league abyss today.

It was a great interview, mentioning about them not only improving as players, as athletes but also as people. His outlook on the game is so refreshing!

I loved the comment he made of, "we're on the move" or similar. That's what gives me comfort in our precarious position. Others, Barnet and Crewe for example, are on the slide but we are most definitely moving in the right direction.

Jack is way ahead of other managers as a psychologist. He's got McCourt, Reed, Kellett, Barry thinking they are proper footballers, changing their lifestyles. McCourt in particular needs to listen hard. He's got potential.

If he can work his magic on Briggs and Ogwu I'm prepared to propose him for a Nobel prize.

Said it when he was appointed; feel we have ourselves some manager.
Thing that is, with his high profile from his playing days, his days at Forest and SUFC, I can't help feeling it won't be long, in the grand scheme of things, before a bigger club comes knocking.

Very early days.

If that happens, and I hope it does, it will mean he's been successful with us.

Sadly I totally agree, I said to my son and nephew when they saw Jack play for us, and I've said it on here before, remember this lads because it will be a long time before you see a player like him play for us again, likewise now, remember the time Sir Jack was manager because he is a special, special talent.

And hopefully he won’t snap the hands off the first biggish club that comes calling

This might come down to DA. My big worry is that once he has saved us from the drop he’ll be starved of funds next year which will drive him off prematurely

What better than to cement that feeling this week? Win on Tuesday and then take the points there next Saturday.

That is true. I can picture him now waltzing around Carl Muggleton to score in front of us that time.

I know we're still bottom of the FL but after watching today I'm absolute certainty that we will not be involved in a relegation fight come April and May.

I'm quite clearly on that clip, white t shirt, shaved head and both fists clenched in total glee, front row towards the right of the goal!

I love listening to jacks interviews, his love for the game and his positivity just oooze's through them, it's no wonder the team is responding to him, he is definately destined for bigger and better than chesterfield fc but i hope that his love for our little club keeps him here till he feels he's took us as far as he possibly can, mansfield used to call us lesterfield, well they better start to worry cos next week, lesterfield will make em feel ill.
all we are saying, is give us ...a goal, or 2+
