That attendance was against Spurs in the cup and Newcastle was the highest league attendance in the same year at just over 28,000.
Not worked out what the 8,504 is yet.
will be interesting if there is a question for the first game under flood lights as there are 3 possible answers depending on how the question is posed
e.g.
First game played
First, first team game
First league game

Circumnavigated the old ground this morning on my daily walk and it brought back many memories and realised the stone wall on Saltergate is the only thing left from the old ground as it was.
Have passport will travel

Without looking it up, I would guess 8504 was the attendance at the last match at Saltergate.

I recall that the capacity was 11,308 for many years, though probably less by the end.
These go to eleven.

Sadly given to the PA as a 4504 crowd.

Tough one again tonight. Hard to win now the shift has been made to more educated guesses than realistic knowledge!

Too much pure guesswork for everyone in the early questions, there has to be an element of someone being able take an educated punt, know or remember

It came back on then? Thought it was done for when I bailed after my stream dropped after question 7 or 8.

The first 3 quizzes were more genuinely knowledge based and I won 2 of those - since then the number of questions that are little more than guesswork have increased I think.

Yes, there was a blip for 30 seconds or so around then but it came back.

It got better after 4 or 5 sketchy ones around 5-10. Last 10 were a lot more gettable (he says finishing about 20th)

I thought the questions were fine last night, I don’t know what people are moaning about, it’s a multi choice quiz so there will be either a knowledge or a guessing (educated?) basis to it. Last night was fine and there has been a number of different winners which is how it should be, otherwise folk would lose interest.
I staged a late run to second place last night so I suppose I would be reasonably happy with the questions 😁
