Hi, that's for that. Really appreciated. I'm definitely more confident with it all now. The players have been great so all really easy to talk to.

I've learnt how to normalise the sound too so it should all be at a more constant level throughout the podcast now.

I've already recorded the next 4 so we have Jamie Lowry, Drew Talbot, Tony Lormor and Jamie Winter up next. I'm recording Sean O'Neill on Monday too.

If you do see Jack, or any other player, around give them a nudge from me! I'll keep doing these for as long as their are players saying yes.

Any chance you could get Nozzer?
A new hope.

Still remember the thud of him hitting the steps by the main stand against Brentford i think it was....horrible collision.

Smashed into the wall beneath the family stand. Went totally unpunished too from memory.

I thought someone got booked for it but could be wrong.

Yes just a yellow for James Wilson that enraged "chubby" Lee Richardson going by this somewhat biased report of said incident

It was on my list to ask about that incident but I missed it. I'll have to ask him. I remember the sound of him hitting the stand and I was over in Compton street.

And Steve Norris is on my list! :-)

It was against Brentford. James Wilson the man to shunt him into the stand after Jamie had only come on as a sub. The viewpoint from both sets of fans at the time here.

Not listened yet, but my best recollection of Jamie is his willingness as a young kid to demand the ball for a pen and stick it in the top corner. In fact I think he did it twice, but I may be mistaken.
Showed me he wasn't going to go away.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

Two very well taken pens are shown, one at Saltergate and one as you describe at Rotherham (Don Valley)

Danny Wilson would be good to cover off both his playing and managerial career with us. The latter working under the previous regime would be interesting.

He did a long one 3 months back for Hartlepool (link below) the first 45 mins discussed some aspects of his career without mentioning us, the remainder about his time managing Pools.

Hi everyone. It's Drew Talbot's turn to feature on the podcast this week.

I really enjoyed putting this one together. Quite hard to fit everything that happened in his career into one podcast! Interesting to talk about the differences between Cook and Sheridan, signing for Chesterfield all thanks to Alan Goodall and talking about the latter part of his career under Lester and Allen. Some of the injuries he had were really awful with his knee injury at the end of his career resulting in a month in hospital on a drip.

And thanks for the heads up on Danny Wilson. I'll have a try.

I’ve said it before Andy Morris would be a good one

I'm loving these videos, thanks for the hard work you must put in.

The latest gave a good insight into the tough period Drew Talbot went through, bless him. He's still obviously passionate about CFC (although by the sounds of it, not as much as his lad).

I'm surprised these videos arn't more popular.

Jack would a great one to have as well if you can get him. I’d love to hear his views on how the club was being run when he came in as manager

I think they are, Drew's has had 115 views already.

I'm just on a break from watching it now, another good one like the rest

I think Dave has asked him and didn't get a reply. I think Jack's wounds from the relegation have still to heal

Hi. Thanks for the kind words. They are really fun to put together, it does take a bit of time but really loving it. I'm starting to get as many downloads on itunes/spotify etc as I am on YouTube so they are doing ok (Jamie Hewitt and David Reeves have hit 1000 views/downloads now I think). Keep spreading the word.

There's a few players that I've asked that have not replied and I can understand that. I'm hoping that as I do more they see that I'm not here to trap them into saying anything they aren't comfortable with. I'd love to have Jack on.

There are various supporters around the club that have done amazing work recording the heritage and history of the club so hopefully this is something that can complement it a bit.

Tony Lormor up next week.

Hey everyone. The latest podcast is out. This week with Tony Lormor. A great guy!

We went through his whole playing career right from the start at Newcastle. He then also spoke really well about his battle with drink and fight against cancer since retirement.

Some really interesting episodes coming up that I've already recorded (I was quite starstruck with my chat with Bob Wilson this week) and I've arranged an interview with Nozza next week too.

Now you're talking. Proper Spireite royalty. I'm working my way through the podcasts and really enjoying them- great work. Will save Sir Tony as a treat. Hope he is doing well.

PS has anyone requested Phil Robinson yet? Personal bias as he's my favourite Town player ever. Kev Davies would be great too.....

how about one of our unsung heroes down the years, Mr Lee Rogers, one of the few players in my lifetime who played for us for over 10 years.

There's nothing remotely contentious in any of what I've seen. Perhaps the club could publicise them if it helps him out.

Marps would be good.

Funnily enough I just emailed Phil Robinson the other day. Now head of emerging talent at Man City apparently. And Jamie Hewitt has been great and put me in touch with Lee Rogers and Andy Morris so they should be happening at some point. Fortunately I keep getting contacts for players so will keep it going as long as I'm finding people.

I'm glad people are liking them.
