Congratulations must go to Alan Knill who has transformed Bury from being relegation certs last season, into serious contenders for promotion.
I'm embarrassed by the actions of those who run my club.

Indeed.

Just one thing I've never understood though...people say we should have kept Knill. Looking at the situation now that is a very good arguement. But at the time Knill had had a hand in Rotherham's, Bradfords and Chesterfield's demise that season.

Not something I'd stick on my CV...nor if I was hubbard would I think he's management material at that time. He came here as he was respected and Richardson knew he was a capable coach. I'm glad he's doing well now, but it is a bit unfair folks to suggest we should have appointed him as our manager back then unless somebody has a crystal ball.

I know it's not been mentioned in this thread...but in other threads it has been.

A point very well made!

The purpose of my post was simply to compare the contrasting 'fortunes' of two former collegues.
However, I would be fascinated to understand the reasons why?

I hope he does well with Bury. Don't think there was any great conspiracy when he left town...he was basically offered a step up the ladder in management with Bury and he has done great with them so far.

Felt in the game they played us he knew height was a problem and used that against us. I hope we beat them at Gigg Lane and return the favour though.
