when we wanted duncon out there was a big protest outside the main doors of the club why not get one together and try that?
Im proberly wasting my time surgesting that because people have just lost interest all together now anyway and thats what rico is wanting. the fans to get fed up of shouting rico out! u could tell that the fans are bourd because they where singIing a song such as flying high up in the sky RICO OUT keep the blue flag flying high RICO OUT from saltergate to wembly RICO OUT keep the blue flag flying high RICO OUT! and many more ! how manys going to morcome 80?

We'll take a couple hundred to Morcambe i'd suggest.

I'm sure Rico isn't wantin the fans to get fed up of shouting for his head, au contrare, i'm sure he wanting and working hard to make performances (and more importantly, results) improve so the fans have no reason the shout it anything other than support and encouragement for the team.

Sadly Lee, i think you're banging your head against a brick wall.

I spoke to a friend last evening who said, quite accurately in my opinion, that nothing's really changed since 1999.

An unpopular manager imposed on us, deteriorating results, deteriorating league position, deteriorating attendances, yet the impression from 'above' that heads are stuck firmly in the sand.

Only thing is that this time, it's in a division lower.

Forget big demonstrations or singing "Rico Out," the best form of protest is to vote with your feet and stay away.

If sufficient numbers boycott the next couple of home games, the failed manager's head will have to roll. If nothing else, hearing those pompous muppets on Radio Sheffield arrogantly telling all CFC callers "Listen; whatever you may think, Lee Richardson's going nowhere...," should only serve to strengthen our resolve to remind Hubbard and Co who ultimately decides.

I've only seen the Johnstones Paint defeat to Grimsby. And only then as I was accompanying my daughter and her mate with it being a quid apiece for them. After watching the team's clueless, uncommitted display, I have no inclination whatsoever to return.

I think the fact that many on here said pretty much the same has left me even more disillusioned.

I don't honestly think I've got unrealistic expectations, but I do wonder at times given that I left the ground that night feeling I'd witnessed an uncommitted performance from a group of players who were simply going through the motions. There was no semblance of urgency, no spark and a very clear lack of any pattern or direction. In short, a continuation of the drivel we'd produced since Christmas. Only this time with a group of players who, on paper at least, should be capable of doing so much better...

Other threads say the same, form this year has been dire, relegation form etc.

Still, our scottish friend of 7 seasons seems to think it will all be OK if only the fans were to lose all forms of sight....shame i am not a real fan, since a regular from 1978......

Well that just about sums up the whinging " SUPPORTERS " doesn't it? I'd suggest that kind of "support" is our biggest problem.

Get real, what kind of people keep spending money on something that doesnt give them enjoyment anymore?

The only problem CFC have with supporters is the lack of them due to the current set up at the football club. Would you continue to go to restaurant that served below average food and kept telling you everything was OK.

If you genuinely believe that supporters should turn up no matter what, then you are naive and part of the problem rather than the solution.

Surely if the supporters went to games no matter what, then this would only benefit the club. The club survives on its income and if the supporters were to stay away, the club would flounder. The stay away fans are more of a problem than those who attend no matter what.

I think there is two types of supporters at Town AG.

You have the 2,500 or so 'die-hards' as they are colloquelly known, who go whatever the weather, however well/poorly the team are playing and if they think we have a chance of victory or not.

Then there is the fans that go to be entertained, if the weather is nice or if the wife hasn't got a list of jobs for them to do as long as their arm! With money being tighter than ever the people that aren't being entertained or witnessing victories will stay away, or find something better to do and you ca't blame them for that, thats their choice.

Regarding the "SUPPORTERS" as the club's biggest problem instead of addressing the very real problems really sums up why we're up the creek.

Only a blind man (OK, maybe along with the seriously deluded) could fail to see we're in no shape whatsoever to mount a serious attempt at getting out this league. I, along with must be hundreds of others, am exercising my right to give it a miss.

To me, watching us feels a bit like witnessing a wounded animal suffer. (Almost) everyone knows it will only get worse until such time someone has the decency to put it out of its misery.

The club can't fool all the people all the time - and the longer the current shambles continues, the more alienated many fans will feel. There's only one End of an Era I'd be remotely interested in right now, and it isn't the one looking to sell second hand, open air urinals to a gullible Chesterfield public.

Of course that is your right. I am just sick of people moaning that we dont get good gates so we dont make enough money.
