I've been very impressed with it since signing up in the summer.

Yes and it didnt work.

It "connects to media" then attempts to "download media usage rights" and at that point a pop up appears and asks me to login with my SW details or register an account.

Maybe it's Expert phobic? It just seems to be me and TF.

I know for match highlights, the work firewall stops them playing, for normal tv news, it's normally fine. but not this one.
I tried it at home yesterday with no joy, i'll try again tonight.

Denny

Edit : just connected up to home pc - that asked me for my username and password so that it could assign DRM rights as it tried to play the files, i stuck in my usual name and password and it started working. still no joy from work. i guess they have that port / web-address blocked.

To me it looks like the file has been set to ask for authentication.

Attention of 'Webster'

I know this link might become boring for PC posters but the fact seems to be that the video can only be seen by users using Internet Explorer6 which isn't available to Apple Mac users.

still think Spireites World is a disgrace, and is the type of multimedia content a clubs website should be providing for free to everyone!

I will never pay for Spireites world

Totally agree, surely the club should be trying to generate interest and providing this kind of thing for free to all supporters.

Also cannot get it to work opn my laptop.

Chris

It depends whether the premium paid means something that wasn't available before.

Many see BSkyB as the destroyer of true football but before satellite systems and subscriptions came along we had just a few live games a season; there is no way that the old four channel terrestrial service could offer the games available now.

Close to your heart overseas test matches were never available until Sky took our money and invested in them. Twenty years ago England overseas football matches were there only as highlights. Despise pay-services but recognise that they have opened coverage.

In terms of Spireite World, it didn't replace a free service but increased the coverage with filmed interviews, on-demand commentaries and instant highlights. Someone has to pay for this.

I disagree.
As an exile I value as many opinions as possible as I can very rarely make matches. I pay it but I don't begrudge the free board. It would be a lesser place to visit without everyones opinion, (including the occasional stag, miller etc) albeit with less bitchin....maybe!
