For a couple of months now, at least one individual close to SWFC has been saying Sheard will be unable to come up with the cash.
The delay might not be causing us problems with the ground, but I suspect it's causing us issues on the pitch.

Can you offer any ideas why three have become one?

Why do you think it's not cuasing us problems with the ground? If DA is the man and the bowels are not sold then no investment, hence no ground and a bigger carpark for Tescos

Allen made a plea for it to be "done and dusted" in July

and on 3rd September

"Former Owls chairman Dave Allen said he had also been told his 10 per cent stake in the club should be bought by Sheard in the next few days.
Allen said: "He phoned me to say the funds were in place – which I'm pleased about – and it was hoped to do the deal by the end of the week."

I suspect there were only ever 2 serious parties in the frame. At one point, there was a serious ? about the worth of one of the investors.
There's only one investor now because BH will only work with people he knows and trusts and who else is in a position to raise the finance required? In addition, I suspect with DA as the backer & A N Other working full time, the majority of the existing Board will remain in place......maybe that wouldn't be the case with other bids.....

If I was a major shareholder in CFC, it wouldn't stop me owning and building a new ground for Mansfield, but it would stop me investing in players.

I'll even go as far as to say, I think the agreement with the investor has been in place for some time......Even planning for a move burns serious cash.

Well MP, i've said for some time that a massive outfit like Tesco wouldn't be involved unless they had cast iron assurances that everything is in place.
But am i the only one wondering if other potential investors have been rebuffed because they preferred a clean sweep?

A bit more PR from BH would be great for us lot, but we all know BH isn't too clever when it comes to PR skills.

Radio Sheffield read out a further statement from Sheard tonight who remains confident the takeover will happen. Also appears Allen remains confident it will happen but declined to give an interview (albeit Radio Sheff decline to name him).
