Said at the time that I hoped he would get the nod over Caldwell (we can only speculate as to whether Mowbray didn't want our job or whether the powers that be deemed GC to be a better option) and I think he would have made a really good fist of keeping us in the division. Be interesting to see whether he can pull Blackburn out of a similar predicament on the pitch (against an equally similar backdrop of unscrupulous owners/inept mismanagement of the running of the club's affairs off it)..
