Being without my Iphone I am getting very frustrated with the desktop version of the MB.

On the mobile version when I leave a thread and come back to it later it goes straight to the last post I read, simple and brilliant, means I never miss a thing. The desktop one however means I have to search through all the posts to try and find where I was in the thread when I last viewed it. Time consuming, frustrating and boring especially when a thread runs to several pages.

Is there any way the desktop one can do what the mobile one does or can I run the mobile one on the desk top?

Cheers

Presumably you are clicking the little orange box/arrow thingy to the left of the thread title? That brings you back to your last read post in the thread.

Actually it brings you to the latest post not read but if you have only read half of page one of a multi page thread the message board assumes you've read all of the thread up to the end before any new postings happen.
"Do you think I'm here for your amusement" & good riddance to bad rubbish

Cheers, so its still not as user friendly as the mobile one. Shame that but better than I originally thought anyway.

For me clicking the little orange box thing it takes me to the first post after the last post i "read". However note that by "read" it means either physically read by opening the thread or if you've marked the board\thread as read using one of the options available.

I use both the main board and the mobile one using the orange box link next to a thread title does the same thing for me as opening a thread on the mobile version.

On the mobile version i don't like it how you can not use the green + and the red - unlike the desktop. However i prefer the mobile version as it is more easier to use.

Some may think not being able to do the red and green + and - on the mobile one is a big bonus!!
