Its you who should clarify, what evidence have you got that the club is not stable, and that we are not servicing the debt.
If you are making it up then say so, the club to me seems perfectly sound and is headed by a chairman who has/is running very successful businesses.

Envy of whom, sorry ? Allen, Turner, the players?

Expressing concern as to how the club is being run and questioning why success on field doesnt seem to be matched by stability off is not, to me, envy, rather, concern about the clubs finances.

The two are linked and we all have a vested interest. We need to service the debt. The finances need to be order to do this.

Please clarify....

Well hello Luke wondered how long it would be

Let's wait for the accounts? Not having a pop, merely trying to make the point that concern expressing concern doesn't make you a 'moaner'.

No offence intended!

My opinion stays the same. The people at the top who are lending money are lapping up the interest we are paying them and probably saying long may it continue whilst bank savings rates are poor. They probably know that the club is capable of paying them back but they don't want paying back just yet! ( while interest rates are low)

I wish, we get 2.5% and to draw our money out we have to give 6 months notice. But the money is not there to take it back. Also some directors lent the club money to cover the transfer fees of Gardner and Clucus. Without this we would not have been able to bring them in.

Without trying to be funny why would directors have to loan money for Clucas when we'd sold Cooper a week or two prior?

Fair question, but it is all about Cash Flow. There are times in the month when we simply do not have any spare cash. Barclays will not give us any overdraft facility either.

Mr M,
Do not think for a minute that the club is awash with Cash. We are not !!

Selling Doyle did certainly ease the situation but did not cure the problem.

But that's were we fans struggle Ashley..the break even figure for gates was quoted, and I admit I don't know where from as 7000, we arnt going to be far from that, we've sold two players for in the region of 1.5 million, we've had an increase of cash from being in a higher division, we've reached the fourth round of the FA Cup, add to this last season of winning the title and a Wembley appearance, two concerts and yet we seem to be struggling ...!

Would you be willing to elaborate on "the problem".

With increased gates, a cup run and the sale of Cooper I would have thought the sale of Doyle was all gravy but you seem to be saying it was not only required but not enough.

We must have some seriously out of control overhead.

Is it interest on the debt? Players wages? Coaching staff? Whatever it is obviously needs addressing PDQ as we cannot guarantee selling two players every year to offset it.

Our income is clearly substantial, our budget is low for this league, we have interest payments to make BUT we must have some serious outgoings elsewhere that need reducing
