Yeah we all used to roll up at saltergate at ten to three , times have changed.

It was 10 past 3 and you still had time for a slash and too negotiate the steps at the back off the Kop and still see the kick off.

Leave the Square and Compass at 3 minutes before kick off, run up the hill, on the Kop 30 seconds before kick off.

Hopefully another 8,000 + on New Years Day against Solihull. They should bring a few more than the shots...its only down the road.

Not sure they will, they don’t normally take many anywhere….especially with Villa doing well again.

In fact with the exception of Southend who are doing well and post takeover i can’t see anyone bringing much in the way of away fans again this season.

Agree on that, can’t see anyone realistically bringing more than 200 at most, maybe Rochdale but depends on whether the form picks up or not?

If they bring three figures I'll be surprised.

Yep some people just don’t like waiting their turn , happens in every walk of life. Was a little annoying on the east stand side tho with 2 of the turnstiles not working but everyone seemed to get in so no biggy really.

A couple of blokes in front of me were complaining to the security team about the issue above, as if it was something they could sort.
Thing is, there was only about 10 folk in the queue at the time.

They managed to open all on the East Stand about half an hour pre KO

Queues for home fans going into the East Stand were round to the left of the South Stand about fifteen minutes before KO. Probably the worst I've seen I think.

The away turnstiles for the East Stand near the North Stand had the usual 'Away Supporters Only' sign up outside.

The stewards were allowing people with paper tickets into the East Stand through the gateways near to the South Stand on sight of the tickets. Easy Stand season ticket holders with cards had to stay in the longer queues to get in through the turnstiles.

They brought 169 last season so hopefully with it being a Bank Holiday they might top 250
