I take it you were there when this was agreed then?

Nope, was told by one of the decorators that they would be doing 2 jobs one for painting it green and then they would get duplicate work for putting it back and this was from BH directly to the workers.

It's up to you wether you believe it.

I was talking to someone at the club on the Open day on this subject. I was told that the painters were more than happy to take the deal where they were paid not to carry out the repaint. So I don't see how anyone was let down. Win win on behalf of both parties.
God I hate this league.

I don't see how anyone could have had a contract/promise to repaint the green walls as they were not painted before we started with the green. The intention was to remove the paint and restore them to red brick. The groundstaff did look at removing the paint but it had soaked into the bricks far more than envisaged.

Much of the painting of metal work was repainted by the groundstaff. There were contractors to paint it green initially but much of it was also done by dressers and runners. I don't know whether the contractors believed they were coming back but the repaint did fall in a slack time for the groundstaff.

Don't be a silly Billy, have you seen the price of paint brushes these days, What about all the other incidentals, tea sugar milk; gogles to prtect the painters eyes, St John's ambulance in case someone falls off a ladder. Someone to hold the ladders. Temporary fencing to shield the work in progress and the added Insurance in case any of our world class footballers have a heart attack when they see work in progress. I sometimes wonder about you D. (Dee Dah by any chance)

That's nice. You're not the first to dream about me.

Pete

This was done on instruction by the club to use Green emulsion and not the advised material and they were told what would happen.

Cheap option.

Have I ever said that ?

I have queried the room for expansion which I personally feel is valid and also the fact that sharing a facility with a supermarket is plain daft for parking...

Only time will tell though :D

Rob

I thought decisions on dressing the set were outside of the contract. The only extras were in lieu of reparations. My insider on the location team doesn't think that it would have been a question asked of the Club.
