What might change sooner than later is 5 subs instead of the 3
Player welfare and all this extra playing time that’s being added on
Lots of managers commenting that all leagues above have 5 so why not our league
Hopefully will be voted on asap

Surely they can’t change anything now the season has started regarding more subs? Forget the promotion places it isn’t happening.

Whilst I'm sure you might be right as the NL will still continue to show themselves as inferior to the EFL I cannot really see why the rules can't be changed during a season whilst ALL clubs still have the same number of games left to play. They will all have played to the same rules throughout the season both before and after such a change and for the whole season. Once clubs have played more or less games than any other team in their league then it could be regarded as being unfair.

Can only be done at the AGM which is in the off season and it wasnt discussed last time around ahead of this season.

Didn't it run out of time at the AGM to be discussed or something ? The sub situation likewise was voted against because the smaller squad teams saw it as a disadvantage to them .

I think in the long term we are more likely to see league restructuring, eg making League 1 and League 2 regionalised, so addition of more sides from this current league.

To be honest at least 8 of this seasons sides in this league would comfortably finish top 10 in the current League 2 setup.

It was talked about in the press etc as possible but dont think it was every confirmed that it would be discussed. Not even sure the NL even pushed for it to be discussed.

I have emailed the EFL to ask if I can have a copy of the agenda and minutes for this year's AGM in relation to 3 up/3 down.
Having done a bit of reading (Carlisle chairman), it may have been mentioned but also in relation to having 3 up/3 down in L1/2 as well instead of 4. His biggest issue was having NL grounds up to scratch (surely that's already in place)

I've also been lead to believe that 3 up/3 down was not mentioned at all in the National League AGM.

If Wrexham hadn't won the league and Notts County not have won the play offs, there might have been some outcry with us going up having been 20 off points behind and County over 100 points. As it is Hollywood and County aren't bothered anymore and neither is anyone else.
In my opinion the only option for getting the format changed is the Independent Regulator. That way Parry and Ives can say it's nothing to do with them, it's being forced on them.

To the best of my knowledge fans can be accommodated on all four sides of every ground in the National League. When oh when will the EFL insist on the same standard in League Two?
It's nice to be able to Trust again.

Very good

And especially as they have just accepted another albeit well funded 3 sided ground.

There must be already rules in place relating to ground suitability for when there was 1 promotion spot available, it doesnt matter whether its 1, 2 or 3 promoted they can apply the rule accordingly. If there was 3 to go up and one didnt meet the requirements then they dont go up and the highest of the relegated teams in League 2 doesnt come down. Every team in the NL will know what the requirements are, when they need to have it by and if they are likely to achieve it if they are in with a chance of going up.

Good points well made.

I believe that part of the contract of starting the season (along with guaranteeing to fund the club for the season 🙄) is that if you are promoted you have to have the ground up to the minimum EFL standard by a certain date that can be slightly fluid in relation to 4g to grass pitches etc.

As County and Wrexham have proven so far.
