Some right miseries on here.

I enjoyed it, so did the kids. Sun was out, good atmosphere and thousands there. Players again a credit to the club coming out and meeting everyone and hanging about for ages for photos and a chat.

Brilliant way to end the weekend and season. Roll on August.

Tell them the same people who helped rid of us Carson and provided the town with a much needed boost

Well said.

What's been achieved this season has been the best thing to happen to the club and the town for a long time. As you say, it's given the town a much needed boost.

My overriding thought as I left the stadium yesterday was that we now have owners, a manager, coaching staff, players, staff, and fans who are all united and want to be part of the club. It's taken a long time to get to this point and credit to those who have brought it all together.

Today looked brill. Had my reservations as feel these things can sometimes look “tinpot” at lower levels but the turn out exceeded my expectations and looked far better then the one we had previously under the old regime! Wasn’t there due to my holidays but glad the players and staff got another well deserved send off ahead of summer.

Better way to do it rather than a long bus journey…concentrate everyone in the one place rather than spread out and it looks better.

I will say that Chief Exec Huw Bowen has been consistantly behind what we have been trying to do at the Trust and Club, Tricia Gilby has also been a great support. Mayor Mick Brady made the Trust a joint charity for his tenure and has always been there to champion what we are doing. Toby Perkins was also there today who offered support when we were trying to save the Club. All Town aren't we!

Because it could have been so much better, rather than announce the team had arrived at the TH and then keep them waiting for another 30mins, if the bus had pulled up at the front and the players then got off, it would have made it even more special...

Excellent ides. Shut off half the road in front of the Town Hall, so you could see the bus arriving but hundreds could not see the balcony celebrations.

I enjoyed it and im a gateshead fan, good for the town and great to see the council back the club especially as some councils could not give a hoot about football clubs, like gateshead borough council

We had a never to be forgotten atmosphere, win and presentation versus Boreham.

We had another sold out celebration on Sat'di. With the party continuing in Town centre pubs afterwards.

Then the people who helped save CFC put on a reception attended by thousands.

So if folk wanna air petty grievances or discuss why councils - plural - are struggling against devastating budget cuts, I suggest they start threads on the 'Personal' section...

PS: one of my granddaughters was there yest'di. Never been bothered about football before, but now wants to go as a result...
