Pre Season

We all want the big clubs but at least have some competitive decent games.
Pick the starting 11 for all (never happened last year which was a ridiculous schoolboy error).
The training is to ensure a squad of players enter the season prepared for 40+ games in all conditions.
(This is prehab/conditioning and fitness work. Not hammering them so they start well but fade fast (a la Arsenal for 10 years and Liverpool under Klopp).
No long runs!!
Needs very intense careful planning (no fitness coach isn't helpful going into a season).
I hope Caldwel knows what he is doing....

We already know the answer to your last comment. His win ratio confirms that.

Complete waste of money - maybe a boot camp in this country would be better. Avoid wasting money on trips to Portugal etc...

From what I've heard, we've got Sheffield United and Rotherham as pre season friendlies lined up. Not done long runs for years. I hope that whoever is dealing with the fitness is willing to look at going back to the boxing training, the team looked their fittest whilst doing that, sharp mentally as well.

Don't forget our new relationship with FBT gives us an opportunity to go touring overseas. Sir Rodney said so.
