Im waiting to see what the excuses are going to be from McFarland and the RTB's. GM's sounds like a starter for the main course to come. How long will the club continue to think the fans are mugs?
Guess I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue!

Siege??? that really is comical :excl:

We must have had 3 shots on target, their keeper really earned his money there!

Couldn't agree more with you Carl. I was amazed when I heard his summary too. He made out that we were all over them but just couldn't put the ball in the net!!

As a poster usually classed as in the "RTB" corner, I have to say that today was as bad as I have seen us play in a long long time.

Other than being crap, we didn't seem to have any idea about how to change tactics (if we had one to start with) when they got in front, and I can't remember that we ever made there keeper make a save.
This week, I have been mostly... drinking excessively

We never looked like scoring to be fair and some of the substitutions baffled me again. Again today it proved how much better Hurst is than Smith and how much Allot adds to the side, despite his many detractors

im furious. im so angry it cant put it into words. 7 hr return drive, best part of £100. to watch that crap.

its obvious our squad is not good enough. our players looked jaded and not interested.

when are people going to realise we cannot as a club carry on like this?when will the cfss baffoons reralise enough is enough. sell the club before you selfish egotistical @rs3 holes send us down.

amatuers will drag the club down to amatuer level.

well after today, even the baffoons and there blinkers must surely see the light?

i said 3 months ago this would happen, that gates would dip below 4000, that the squad wasnt up to it, kids and old men. and not enough of them. and you RTB H again etc slagged me down. well i hope your happy. i am not.

how many will be there for cheltenham? 3300?3000? can you blame them? well i bet tooley and the other cfss comittee baffoons will, as no way is it there fault, not with the massive amounts of money they have raised THIS SEASON.

did you hear the peak phone in?

the peasants are revolting. wheres your sarcasm tonight pete? its you lot i hold responsible for this.
A new hope.

Always suspected Geoff Mitchell watches other games to everyone else...get real Geoff..the people who where in the Alamo could have sat down and had a tea party if the mexicans threw as much at them as we did at Basingstoke :P
Even mac reckons we threw everything at em in the second half...bolloxxxs.

The best players on the pitch today were our own youngsters, Jackson, Lowry and Smith - some of what smith did was frustrating but at least he tried.

The players who played on tuesday looked like they hadn't recovered, the replacements who started the game were just poor. An all round dissapointment.

Probably a good thing the attendance was soo low, as any part timers/fair weather fans who turned up today wouldn't come again on that showing. Town have shot themselves in the foot once again.

The problem is that performance isnt just a one off, our league form has been terrible and nothing short of embarrasing yet it has been masked by the success of the team in the Carling cup. Chesterfield fans maybe many things but they arent stupid they know when they are being taken for a ride and I bet we wont see many over 3k versus Cheltenham. Maybe then the board will wake up to whats happening or maybe the owners will realise the club is on a downward curve and do something about it, maybe even pigs will be seen swooping over Saltergate as we invest in the squad and give the manager a kick up the ring as he's told we arent his pension pot and he's got to improve things.

Ive never known any type of company that surrounds itself in such apathy and rather than realise this is wrong seems to actually revel in it. Todays performance was a neat microcosm of CFC off the pitch for me. Not much effort and ulimately we get what we deserve.

Still never mind its probably the fans fault.

I didn't hear anything on the radio yesterday, stayed down town after the game, but i've finally just read the report on the main site of here and i have to give crdit to SB, told it as it was from a true fans point of view, not a sports reporter who just happens to work for the club.

the stats say it all, we had 48% of the possesion and barely had any shots on goal never mind on target :)

I thought Smith was poor and still don't think Jackson looks ready

There could be a bit of a backlash next week...atmosphere wise. They really NEED to play well and win otherwise there might be trouble.
