.....but a month, is probably going to be 'season defining'.

Can anyone remember where we were on 24th Jan?

Answer: FA Cup 4th Road at Derby County.

We arrived, full of belief, ambition, expectation, confidence and above all, feeling proud being a supporter of CFC: a club we believed were finally on the brink of breaking free from the shackles of always been know as 'small time'.

It was a great day, even though we lost, we were still proud and still believed we had a team more than capable of challenging in our own league.

Roll on a month, 24th February, our record shows won 2, drawn 1, lost 4 and significantly we lost our goal threat and our flair.

Now, we have lost 'belief', accusing the club of lacking 'ambition', our 'expectations' changed to one of survival rather playoffs, 'confidence' is low and 'pride', has been replaced by despondency, thinking of what might have been....

So, for me up to the 24th Jan, it was like attending a never ending party, with champagne footy and goals galore, a month later we've sleep-walked and woken up with the world's biggest hangover and we feel sorry for ourselves!

Time now to snap out of it, buck up and we go again, forget what's happened, move on and believe what we can still achieve together. Who knows, on March 24th we might look back and laugh at what a bunch of mardy-arses, we've all been!

I felt pretty good on the morning of the 7th Feb too actually. 5th in the league and a loanee who I thought would be able to fill Doyles shoes pretty well. Seems like the day out in Notts will certainly be the seasons peak!

B*llocks it was. We didn't score a league goal from the second minute in 21st October until 22nd November....

Well it might be 7days past the 24th March, but I for one am looking back (with a slight chuckle). #mardy-bottom 😜
